During the pandemic, our founder identified a new development opportunity in the residential inspection market: remote virtual inspections. As an industry leader, Ryan recognized that existing options were often prohibitively expensive for homeowners searching for solutions to indoor air quality problems. This insight led to the birth of our remote inspection and testing solution. Today, we take pride in helping homeowners efficiently address indoor air quality concerns by providing reliable, cost-effective remote services that optimize their resources.

Ryan founded his first business, Essential Inspection LLC (of Lawrence, KS), in 2009. With extensive Building Science training, he became one of the first HERS Energy Auditors in Kansas. Over the next couple years, he performed thousands of energy audits for state and local utility programs. After achieving Master Building Inspector status, along with becoming a Council Certified Microbial Consultant, Ryan expanded his focus to specialize in whole house and environmental inspections. After 16+ years and more than 10,000 completed inspections, Ryan sought a new challenge. To continue growing professionally while utilizing his expertise, he founded Remote Virtual Inspector.
Today, Ryan serves as CEO of Remote Virtual Inspector, which includes Remote Mold Consultant and Remote Asbestos Consultant. He and his team of remote inspectors are continuously advancing the field of remotely performed inspection services. In his free time, Ryan enjoys summers at the lake and winters in the mountains. If it’s an adventurous outdoor activity, he’s probably attempted it at least once! Currently, Ryan is working towards a MicroMasters from MIT in the Principles of Manufacturing and a Professional Certificate from Harvard Extension in The Happiness in Leadership: Driving Team Success.

Our inspectors stand out due to their extensive training and past hands-on, on-site experience. Each inspector is certified by recognized industry organizations, ensuring they adhere to the highest professional standards. They employ the latest technology and testing methods to provide accurate, reliable results. Attention to detail and a thorough approach ensure that no issues are overlooked. Additionally, our inspectors are committed to clear communication, delivering comprehensive reports that clients can easily understand and rely upon. This combination of expertise, precision, and transparency makes our inspectors exceptional in their field.
We are working towards a platform that would allow clients to view inspector portfolios and choose their preferred inspector. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to do so. Please stay tuned!
